The Town of Cutler Bay debuted a video podcast Monday, Aug. 24, giving residents a new way to hear directly from local leaders and longtime community members.

The first episode of “Cutler Bay All Day” features Mayor Tim Meerbott discussing his memories of the town and his perspective on its future. The episode is available on YouTube and through the town’s website.

Town Manager Rafael Casals announced the launch, saying the podcast will give viewers a more personal look at officials, business owners and residents who have shaped the community since its incorporation in 2005. Cutler Bay has a council-manager form of government.

The podcast is part of the town’s broader public-engagement efforts. Section 3.11(B) of the Town Charter, most recently amended by voters in November 2024, directs the town manager to engage residents of all ages through “traditional media, online communication, community events, town hall meetings, and other effective and innovative forms of communication.”

Casals has emphasized public engagement before. During Florida City Week in October 2025, he called municipal government “the level of government closest to the people” and stressed the importance of offering residents practical ways to engage with the town.

In May, the town earned the 2026 Certificate of Excellence in Government Communications from the Florida Municipal Communicators Association, a recognition of its broader outreach efforts.

The town promoted the series on its official X account with daily teaser posts from Aug. 17 through Aug. 21 before the Aug. 24 launch. The podcast also has its own X account, @cutlerbayallday, which posted the first-episode link that day.

No release schedule for future episodes has been announced. Residents can follow @cutlerbayallday on X for updates on new episodes.
