Cutler Bay residents aged 60 and older can get hands-on help attracting butterflies and bees to their home gardens at a free Pollinator Workshop on Thursday, July 30, at 10720 Caribbean Boulevard, Cutler Bay.

The session is part of the Town of Cutler Bay's Active Adults program and is taught by Adam Skowronski, a Cutler Bay resident and member of the Connect to Protect Network, a Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden initiative focused on native habitat. Skowronski has led the workshop before as a recurring offering and has spearheaded native plant installations in town, including a pine rockland planting along a busy Cutler Bay roadway that replaced turfgrass with muhly grass, saw palmetto, coontie, and locustberry.

The workshop covers which plants draw pollinators and how to arrange a home garden to support them.

Light refreshments will be provided.
