Cutler Bay families can stretch, dance and sample healthy food for free when Baptist Health South Florida's Fit Fest takes over The Moss Center on Saturday, Aug. 22.
The four-hour wellness festival, running noon to 4 p.m. at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211th St., offers yoga, pilates, dance classes, games, raffles, giveaways and live music. Free samples from local healthy restaurants round out the afternoon.
The Town of Cutler Bay announced the event on Tuesday, Aug. 11. Baptist Health Homestead Hospital also promoted the festival on Facebook, encouraging families to register.
Mind Body Social, a Miami-based event production company that has worked with organizations including Publix, T-Mobile and Baptist Health South Florida, is producing the festival.
No gym clothes required. The Eventbrite registration page says the only fitness level needed is "HAVE FUN!" and encourages attendees to bring "the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, the whole neighborhood too." Organizers recommend wearing athletic clothing and comfortable sneakers. Only service animals are permitted.
Attendees can jump into every workout session or skip the sweat entirely and browse Baptist Health service booths, partner booths and the food stations instead.
The event lands the week before most Miami-Dade County public schools open for the 2026–27 school year, giving families one last free outing before the back-to-school rush.
Registration is open through Aug. 22 at the Eventbrite link below.
