Homeowners in Miami-Dade Commission District 10 can apply for grants of up to $8,000 for exterior painting and landscaping through a new county program.
Commission Chair Anthony Rodriguez announced the 2026 Home Beautification Grant Program on Tuesday, Sept. 1, according to the Kendall Gazette.
The grants cover exterior house painting and professional landscaping. Grant amounts may vary based on available funding, and the total number of grants was not disclosed.
"Strong neighborhoods start with strong homes and residents who are invested in where they live," Rodriguez said in the announcement. He added that the program helps families make improvements to their properties while strengthening neighborhoods across District 10.
Online registration closes Friday, Sept. 18.
Who qualifies
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Own and live in a single-family detached home. Condominiums, duplexes and apartments do not qualify.
- Not own any investment or rental properties.
- Meet the low-to-moderate household income limits set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
- Be current on property taxes with no outstanding assessments.
The announcement did not list the specific HUD income thresholds for Miami-Dade County. HUD publishes updated income limits each year at huduser.gov.
